Staying Fresh Before, During and After a Workout

Staying fresh after a workout session goes much farther than just dry shampoo!

If you’re always on the go, taking an hour out of your day for yourself can seem quite impossible. After my crazy hectic beginning of a year of what I call 2016, an hour out of my day for myself is exactly what I need to stay sane!

From constant travel to moving across the country to Cali from Nueva York, I noticed my stress had elevated to the point that I felt out of control with myself.¡Dios mío! I began to notice my eating habits were unhealthily, my sleeping schedule was no longer consistent but more importantly I didn’t feel comfortable in my own skin.

I knew I had to create a routine that fit into my own schedule to find balance between my wellness and new adult life. Personally I love to meditate and if I have an hour or two to spare throughout my week I try to hit a gym class that involves cardio and weights.

Music can elevate your mood. Make a playlist!

Whether you work out at home or at the gym finding balance in your daily life is essential for your overall wellbeing. One of my favorite types of meditation practices is Reiki, a Japanese technique for stress reduction.

If you enjoy yoga you’ll most likely enjoy Reiki, it’s a form of practice of managing the mind, while yoga manages the physical body.

When I’m on the go my essentials always help me to stay fresh from one place to another. My first tip is always to stay hydrated and have a workout playlist!
